Flight Centre saddened by MH17

The Flight Centre Travel Group (FLT) says it's deeply saddened by the loss of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.

"Collectively, our thoughts are with those who are affected by this tragedy," the group said in a statement.

"FLT continues to monitor the situation and is currently working with Malaysia Airlines to help any affected customers."

Flight Centre customers travelling before July 25, 2014, who want to amend bookings are asked to phone their travel consultants as soon as possible.

Where possible, Flight Centre will also assist other affected travellers who wish to change their Malaysia Airlines bookings.

MH17 went down over strife-torn eastern Ukraine after leaving Amsterdam on its way to Kuala Lumpur.

All 298 people on board died, including 27 Australians.
