A popular range of pouring cream products have been recalled from supermarkets over fears batches could have potential microbial contamination.

Fleurieu Milk Company recalled its pouring cream in 300ml, 1L, 2L and 10L sizes, sold at Woolworths, IGA and Independent Food Retailers in South Australia and Independent Food Retailers in Victoria, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand said products "contaminated with E.coli may cause illness if consumed".
