Five arrested after hundreds brawl outside nightclub in Melbourne's north

Police were forced to use capsicum spray after a brawl believed to involve up to 250 people spilled outside of a nightclub in Melbourne’s north in the early hours of this morning.
A witness told 9NEWS hundreds of people were outside the Illusion nightclub in Carlton, yelling, kicking and screaming.
A number of people were injured and a police car was damaged.

Police have arrested four men and one woman however no charges have yet been laid.
