Fisherman injured in Sydney fall
AAP
A Sydney fisherman has escaped with only a broken leg after he fell three metres onto rocks in the pitch dark.
The 36-year-old man slipped and fell down an embankment early on Monday while fishing at Balmain's Elkington Park.
He phoned triple-0 just after 1.30am (AEST), telling emergency services he was on the rocks at the base of the park next to the Dawn Fraser Baths, and had broken his leg.
