Firefighters rescue Melbourne teen's finger from toilet roll holder

A teenager who got his finger stuck in a toilet roll holder has been freed by firefighters in Melbourne this afternoon.

Metropolitan Fire Brigade crews and paramedics were called to help the boy at a home on Pascoe Avenue, Croydon, just after 12.30pm.

They found the teen with his finger stuck in a metal hole within the toilet roll holder.

An angle grinder was used to free the finger, the MFB said in an official statement.

It remains unclear how the teen managed to find himself in the unfortunate situation.
