Fire tears through restaurant belonging to Aussie actor's family
George Houvardas’ family’s restaurant in Sydney has been damaged by fire.
Firefighters were called to Piato on Blues Point Road, McMahons Point, about midday after reports of flames were coming from the roof of the building.
The outlet was quickly evacuated as the fire continued to spread.

Crews were forced to tear down the ceiling of the Mediterranean eatery to control the blaze, causing significant damage to the building.
No one was injured in the incident.
Houvardas, 29, is best known was his role of Carbo in Packed to the Rafters, which ended in 2013.
In recent years the 29-year-old has chosen to forgo an acting career, instead working part-time with his brothers at Piato.
