Crews tackle bushfire in Sydney's south west

A bushfire fight is underway close to homes in Sydney's south-west.

In a combined effort, Fire and Rescue NSW and the RFS have ten trucks on scene at Conjola Drive at Leumeah, near Smiths Creek Reserve.

Dozens of houses border the bushland so crews are working hard to prevent the spread of the flames in the hot dry conditions.

However, the RFS said it's currently under control.
