Fire breaks out in hangar at Sunshine Coast Airport
A hangar at Sunshine Coast Airport in Marcoola has been significantly damaged after a fire broke out this morning.
Firefighters were on scene at the McDermotts Aviation hangar almost immediately and brought the blaze under control around 9.30am (AEST.
Plumes of black smoke could be seen gushing from a building in vision obtained by 9NEWS.

About a dozen staff members were evacuated and one man was treated for smoke inhalation.
A number of helicopters were in the hangar at the time but only one is believed to be heat-affected.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
