Fire rages in Perth’s Gnangara Pine Plantation

An out-of-control bushfire has taken hold of the southern part of Gnangara Pine Plantation in Perth’s north-east.

The blaze has burnt through eight hectares of bushland and flames of up to five metres have been seen in some parts after it started at around 5pm (AWST).

Crews on the ground and in the air have been brought in to battle the fire.

An advice alert level is in place and WA emergency services said there is no immediate danger to homes and roads are open.
