Find other saving on policy change:Cormann

Finance Minister Mathias Cormann says any ministerial colleague planning changes within their portfolio that would cost the budget will have to offset it from another area.

The minister was responding to reports the government is willing to change its controversial plan to link school funding increases to inflation.

"If any minister wants to suggest changes that have a negative impact on the budget bottom line, they would have to find other areas of their portfolio to pay for it," he told Sky News on Tuesday.
