Female security guard ‘stomped on’ during brawl

A female security guard has allegedly been set upon during a wild brawl in the Victorian city of Geelong.

Video shows a man in a blue t-shirt holding the woman down outside a bar on Little Malop Street in the early hours of December 22.

A local source told 9news.com.au the female guard was being “choked to the point of collapse”.

Several people can be heard shouting, as another security guard attempts to intervene. He is then targeted by another man in a light coloured t-shirt.

More violence unfolds, with some onlookers shown brawling among themselves.

Police told 9NEWS they responded to the scene and spoke to a number of people, but all refused to assist officers with their enquiries.

“All parties involved also refused medical treatment,” the statement said.

A 32-year-old man from Corio was interviewed following the brawl, but has since been released.

The alleged victim is yet to make a complaint, and investigations are ongoing.
