Government pledges $60 million to reduce homelessness

The federal government is providing $60 million over the next two years to help reduce homelessness in NSW.

Social Services Minister Christian Porter said this investment will also increase the assistance available for women and children experiencing domestic violence.

"The former government didn't provide future funding for the National Partnership on Homelessness but the coalition's extended the agreement because we understand the importance of these services," Mr Porter said in a statement on Sunday.
