Hunt for three men after father brutally bashed outside Perth home

Perth police are searching for three men who bashed a father inside his Coolbinia home.

The 62-year-old suffered serious head injuries in the attack at about 1am yesterday.

He stumbled to a neighbour and pleaded for help following the attack.

The neighbour was a nurse who was able to administer first aid until paramedics arrived.

The father of two was brutally assaulted after he confronted three men who forced their way into his home.

He is now in the trauma ward at Royal Perth Hospital in a stable condition.

Police have not revealed if weapons were used in the attack.

The three attackers stole the homeowners Mercedes Benz and fled the scene.

The vehicle was located crashed and abandoned.
