Father breaks down after son surprises him with antique car he lost five decades ago

A vlogger has recorded the moment he revealed he had bought his father the exact same model of car he lost almost five decades ago as a teenager.

A video posted to The Angry Grandpa Show YouTube page on Tuesday chronicles the surprise reveal of son Michael Green’s gift to father and American Internet personality “Angry Grandpa” Charles Marvin Green Jr.

It has since been viewed more than a million times.

Green begins the video by explaining how his father has had two items on his bucket list his entire life: to own a house and a 1955 Chevy Bel Air.

He claims Green Jr., 66, purchased the same model of car when he was 16, only to lose it a year later after his sister drove it to California and “it broke down and she sold it from underneath him”.

“Last year I got him the house. This year, the car,” Michael narrates.

The video shows him then “stumbling” upon the car with his father while in a parking lot, inspiring a moment of tearful reflection by Green Jr.

The video cuts forward to show the car being driven up to Green Jr’s house and Green handing him the keys.

“I told you dad one day I was going to get it for you… It’s yours,” Green tells him, as his father begins to weep, leaning on the bonnet of the car.

The pair share an embrace while Green wipes away his own tears.

The Angry Grandpa Show features a range of videos featuring Green pulling pranks on his father, filmed with the help of girlfriend Bridgette West.
