'Thank you for your humanity': Grieving husband's powerful message after Brisbane mum killed in motorbike crash

A horrific motorcycle accident has claimed the life of a 38-year-old Brisbane mother on the Gold Coast.

Tonight, her community are grieving and police are investigating how an evening group ride turned fatal.

Paramedics frantically attempted to revive the mum after three of the motorbike riders collided, claiming the life of Nadia Shevtsova.

Ambulance and police raced to Ashmore Road just after 8pm but despite their efforts Shevtsova couldn't be saved.

Shevtsova's grieving husband Vitaliy Brokhof thanked riders and emergency services for helping his wife in an emotional message on social media.

"I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who was there in her final moments - the emergency services, first responders, and the people who stopped to help," Brokhof said.

"Thank you for your care, your actions and your humanity. It means more than I can ever put into words.

"Nadia was the love of my life. She was full of light, strength, and kindness.

"Her last ride was something she loved, and I am grateful to everyone who tried to help her come home."

A 20-year-old man and a 50-year-old man were also caught in the crash, both left with minor injuries.

The 20-year-old was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

People who were riding with Shevtsova told 9News that one of the riders in the group caused the collision by bumping her bike, which will now form part of the police investigation.
