Farmers to get simpler export regulations
AAP
Farmers exporting produce overseas will do so under streamlined rules aimed to replace a "complex web of regulation".
Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce said legislation introduced to the Senate on Thursday would replace 17 acts and more than 40 legislative instruments currently in place for international exports.
"We need something more coherent in place so that the rules for exporting are simpler and easier to understand and comply with," Mr Joyce said in a statement.
