Farmer captures landspout passing through Queensland property

A Queensland farmer has captured the moment a landspout was seen hurtling across a property in southern Queensland.

Tom Nixon filmed the tornado across the paddocks of his farm at Drillham, 20km west of Miles, on Wednesday.

In the video, posted to Facebook, Mr Nixon can be heard saying “that’s unbelievable.”

“It formed before that big tree and moved all the way across there.”

The weather event didn’t cause any damage but did provide 30mm of rain to the property.

Heavy rain has fallen across the Darling Downs over the past few days, but looks to have cleared.
