Missing man found in Melbourne

An intellectually disabled Melbourne man who went missing on Thursday has been found safe and well.
Altona Meadows man John Jackanic was found by police near Mt Waverley railway station shortly before 7pm (AEDT). His father discovered him missing from his bed early on Thursday morning.
Earlier, the 50-year-old's family made a public plea to help find him.

Mr Jackanic, who suffers from a medical condition, was reported by police to be safe and well.
A full search involving police, SES and a helicopter was conducted with water police scaling a creek near Mr Jackanic's home.
Police thanked the public for their help.
