Family issues desperate plea for missing Melbourne mother to return home

The family of a Melbourne mother missing for more than three weeks have made a public plea for help to find her.

Serious fears are held for Simone Quinlan, 33, who has not touched her phone or bank account since she was spotted at a Melton service station on August 24.

Ms Quinlan met with a male friend at the Caltex service station and bought cigarettes and food before she drove off.

After posting to social media later that night, the mother of two boys – aged 12 and four - has not been heard from since.

Family and friends don’t know who owns the car Ms Quinlan was driving that night and it too has not been spotted.

Her parents Wayne and Lynda Quinlan today said their daughter had faced personal issues in recent years but had never disappeared before.

“I just want to say, if you're out there could you please ring home,” Mrs Quinlan told reporters today.

“[Sons] Tyler and Phoenix miss you and they need to hear you.”

Mr Quinlan pleaded with his daughter to make contact for her sons.

“I couldn't put it into words but it's a very bad place to be in not knowing where one of your children are,” Mr Quinlan said.

“Simone, if you're out there, your family loves you.

“Your boys love you. We just want you home safe.”
