A Facebook page, praising the actions of the Sydney teenager behind the execution of a NSW Police Force employee, has been shut down.

Farhad Jabar Khalil Mohammad was killed in a shootout with officers on Friday, moments after he had murdered finance worker Curtis Cheng in cold blood.

A page entitled “RIP Farhad Khalil Mohammad Jabar” which labelled the gunman as the “Hero of Parramatta” appeared online today.

“Rest in peace Farhad Jabar Khali Mohammad for ur great sacrifice in the face of racist bigotry u will be missed xxx [sic]”, the page’s description read.

“Death to the evil police state of Australia who killed this young child all he is guilty of was being muslim!! [sic]”, another post read.

Memes mocking Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and calling for the burning of the Australian flags prompted an angry response from other users.

Many said they had reported the page to Facebook and others called on police to intervene.

The page was pulled down this afternoon and is now unable to be accessed.
