Extension for Wickenby tax cheat crackdown

A major taskforce cracking down on tax cheats is set to have its powers permanently extended.

The controversial Project Wickenby investigation had been due to finish mid-year.

The Australian Federal Police taskforce will get new powers to investigate large scale offshore tax avoidance, The Australian reported on Tuesday.
