Emission reduction fund auction date set

A second auction of carbon abatement contracts has been set for November 4 and 5.

Clean Energy Regulator chairwoman Chloe Munro said the agency was confident the auction - a key part of the federal government's emissions reduction fund - would attract strong competition.

The agency has set a cut-off date for project registration of September 18.
