Emergency declaration revoked after man found dead in home in south-east Queensland

Police have revoked an emergency declaration made overnight after a man was found dead inside a property in Warwick, in south-east Queensland.

Earlier, multiple streets were locked down after reports an "armed person" was on the loose.

Officers made the emergency declaration - the second within the state in as many days - at 10pm on Monday in response to the "unfolding situation".

Just before 9.30am today, the declaration was abolished.

Police said detectives entered a property on Wantley Street at 8.15am where they found a 38-year-old man dead.

The discovery is being treated as non-suspicious.

No shots were fired and no threats were made throughout the ordeal, according to Queensland Police.

Local residents living within the boundaries of Wood Street, Gore Street, Grafton Street and Dragon Street were told to stay inside overnight as the situation unfurled.

"Police are currently conducting emergency operations in the area and requesting members of the public and aircraft to not attend the declared location," Queensland Police said.
