Boy, 11, dies in motorcycle accident at rural property near Bairnsdale

An 11-year-old boy has died after a motorcycle accident on a property in regional Victoria this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the property in Tambo Upper, east of Bairnsdale, just before 3pm. 

The boy was treated at the scene but could not be revived. 

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear but it is believed the boy was riding the motorcycle when it hit a tree.

Bairnsdale is about three hours from Melbourne’s CBD.
