Police investigate suspicious death of elderly woman in Perth home

Police are appealing for information after an 85-year-old woman was found dead inside a home in a residential suburb of Perth.

The woman's body was found inside the home on Electra Street in Bateman early yesterday afternoon.

At this stage it is not clear what caused her death or what kind of injuries she had.

Major crime detectives are treating the sudden death as suspicious.

Police want to speak to anyone who was in Electra Street between 9am on Tuesday and 1pm on Wednesday.
