Elderly man found after going missing from nursing home on Sydney's Northern Beaches

An 86-year-old man who went missing from an aged-care facility in Sydney’s Northern Beaches has been found "safe and well".

Brian Evans was found at a home at Roseville at around 4pm this afternoon, after disappearing from the nursing home on Dawes Road last night.

An extensive search involving police, Polair and volunteers from the Rural Fire Service was conducted, before a member of the public alerted police to Mr Evans' location.
