Missing elderly couple found safe and well in Queensland

An elderly couple who were earlier reported missing after they failed to return home from a holiday from northern New South Wales have been found alive and well in Queensland's south. 

Dale and Cavell Lawlor, both 78, were located in Windaroo just south of Logan City earlier today.

The pair had been holidaying in Kingscliff in New South Wales and were expected to return to Durack by 8pm last night, but had failed to do so.

Police and family members are concerned for their welfare due to existing medical conditions, and because they are without a phone or GPS system.
