Eight-year-old boy delivers baby sister

An eight-year-old English boy has heroically delivered his baby sister at their home after his mother went into labour.

Marcus Caffery was left to help his mother Jodie deliver the baby girl after his father went outside to flag down the ambulance, reports Birmingham Mail.

The young schoolboy safely delivered his baby sister Freya with the help of an emergency call operator, after his mother passed the phone onto him.

“When it started happening it was really frightening and scary,” Marcus told the Birmingham Mail.

“I just got on with it because I needed to do this and I couldn’t leave her on her own.”

Marcus said he was very relieved when his younger sister came out but added that he didn’t want to relive the experience.
