Robber caught on CCTV stealing snakes from Sydney pet store

A robber has been captured on security vision stealing snakes from a pet store in Sydney’s west. 

Police are investigating after eight snakes, including an albino Darwin carpet python, were stolen from a pet store on Steer Road, Gregory Hills.

Video shows the offender using what appears to be a hook to snatch the reptiles from their display cases. 

Authorities believe the robber forced entry into the store between 6.30am and 6.45am yesterday morning. 

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
