Massive new outlet shopping centre just months away from opening in Sydney

Sydney's home of motorsport is about to become the new place to shop, with a huge retail outlet taking shape at Eastern Creek.

The development, an extension of the existing Eastern Creek Quarter shopping centre, will house over 100 stores, with a strong emphasis on athleisure wear.

Brands such as Asics, Adidas, Puma, and Fila are expected to be among the retailers, with a key feature of the outlet centre to be discounted prices.

"We know our customers want value but they love the brands, so all of our retailers have committed to 70 per cent of their stock being discounted or manufactured for outlet," Felicity Armstrong from Frasers Property said.

The development also aims to support local businesses.

Jonathan Israfil from Kerbside Eatery, which began as a food truck five years ago, is expanding to a dine-in restaurant in the new complex.

"Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd have a shop here serving our local community," Israfil said.

"There's going to be amazing opportunity for local retailers to get their names out there, put a business in, like family-run local businesses."

The outlet is scheduled to open in March next year, with 1100 new car spots to be included.

"You can imagine the whole family coming, you do your outlet shopping, you have lunch outside, the kids play in the play area and then groceries are picked up on the way home at the Woolworths," Armstrong said.
