Easter road blitz nabs Qld sergeant

A Brisbane sergeant has been charged with drink driving during the Easter road safety blitz.

The 43-year-old allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.061 per cent when he was stopped for a random breath test on Easter Monday.

He's been charged with drink driving and is due to appear in court on May 5.

The police service is also considering what disciplinary action might be taken against the officer if he's convicted.

The officer was off duty and driving a private vehicle when the alleged offence occurred.
