Dutton confident of keeping immigration

Peter Dutton is confident he'll keep his immigration portfolio in a ministerial reshuffle following the pending departures of Warren Truss and Andrew Robb.

Mr Dutton was one of the few ministers left standing in Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's frontbench shake-up after toppling Tony Abbott last September.

"I think continuity in this portfolio is important and that's been the prime minister's advice to me as well," he told Sydney's 2GB on Thursday.
