Two men have broken into a Melbourne sex shop and taken off with a life-sized sex doll that goes by the name of "Kitty".

The thieves also stole multiple vibrators collectively worth about $10,000 in the January 26 robbery.

The offenders smashed into the Airport West Sexyland about 2.45am using a pole before they took Kitty, which retails for up to $4500.

As they fled with the 168cm lifelike doll, its head unfortunately fell off in the Sexyland carpark.

The two men drove away in a white Ford Ranger ute with stolen number plates.

Theft is common at adult entertainment stores and demand for dolls like Kitty and similar goods soared during the pandemic.
