Queensland news: Mum to be charged over Townsville deaths

The mother of two young brothers who drowned in Townsville's Ross River during the floods in February is expected to be charged with their manslaughter.

Leanne Eatts' sons Barak Austral and Jhulio Sariago drowned after they wandered away from the family home on February 25 and she is expected to be charged on this afternoon, police say.

Despite a frantic search involving emergency services and dozens of local residents the boys were not found, but their bodies were found in the river the next morning.
