Children escape unharmed after runaway truck crashes into Melbourne daycare centre

Dozens of children has escaped unharmed after a runaway truck veered off a Melbourne road and crashed into a daycare centre.
Emergency services were called just before 10am after the truck crashed into the Ferntree Gully Children's Centre on the Burwood Highway.
Truck driver Gary Singh had delivered a car to a dealership but left the handbrake off while he left the vehicle unattended.

The truck then rolled 300 metres before hitting a lamp post and coming to an end in the centre's front yard.
Dozens of children, some of young as six months, were inside the centre at the time but none were injured.
The driver could still face charges and police are investigating.
