Driver cut from damaged truck after three-vehicle smash at Cecil Hills

A truckie has been cut from the cab of his vehicle after a three truck pile-up on Sydney's M7 motorway in Cecil Hills, in the city’s west.

Emergency services were called to the scene about 10.30am after the crash blocked northbound lanes.

The 34-year-old driver of a table top truck was trapped in his vehicle after the collision with another truck and a semi-trailer.

Emergency services worked for several hours to free the man, eventually pulling him out about 1pm.

They remain at the scene and northbound lanes approaching Elizabeth Drive are still closed to traffic. 

Motorists are being diverted from the motorway by the Elizabeth Drive off-ramp and are advised to avoid the area. 

Southbound lanes of the M7 remain open.

The drivers of the two other vehicles, aged 23 and 44, were not injured during the crash and were both taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
