Driver runs over man’s foot after school-pickup confrontation

A man is in hospital after a woman picking up her children accidentally ran her car over his foot in Melbourne’s north-east this afternoon.

Police said the 69-year-old woman was parked in a no standing zone in front of a Mill Park home just after 3.40pm.

The 42-year-old resident demanded she move, before he starting kicking and hitting her car.

His family members then joined in on the attack on the driver’s vehicle, police said in a statement.

She then accidentally ran over his foot. The man was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition, an ambulance spokesperson told 9NEWS.

Investigations are ongoing.
