Driver charged over mobility scooter death

A Perth man accused of running into an 86-year-old on a mobility scooter has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death.
Police allege the 30-year-old driver struck the elderly man as he was travelling on his motorised scooter in suburban Perth on April 3.
The elderly man suffered serious injuries and later died.

The driver, from Canning Vale, is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on May 19 on a charge of dangerous driving occasioning death.
