Driver arrested after fatal Vic crash

A driver who allegedly fled the scene of a fatal crash in regional Victoria has been arrested.
Police say the car veered out of control and struck a pole at about 1am on Saturday in the regional town of Bright, about 300km northeast of Melbourne.
The passenger in the car died at the scene.

At about 7.30am the driver was arrested after leaving the scene of the crash and had yet to be identified, police said in a statement.
