A man who allegedly claimed a US grandmother backed into his car has had his claim spectacularly disproven after the woman’s grandson released damning security footage showing the man rear-ending her parked car.

The footage, first posted to Brandon Neider’s YouTube page on August 3, has already been viewed more than 57,000 times.

Mr Neider, who hails from Yonkers, New York, says the offender allegedly lodged an insurance claim blaming Mr Neider’s grandmother for the incident.

Police were then called and a copy of the footage provided, after which the offender was purportedly issued with two tickets.

Responding to a query from a YouTube commenter, Mr Neider has claimed one of the tickets was for a hit-and-run charge.

“His insurance company will most likely drop him due to him being a huge liability,” Mr Neider said.
