Drink-driving Queensland police officer loses her licence

A Queensland police officer has been fined and disqualified from driving after she was caught drink driving while off duty on Boxing Day.

Constable Alice Turnbull appeared in the Cairns Magistrates Court today, where she admitted to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor.

The 27-year-old was fined $1500 and had her driver's licence disqualified for nine months.

Cst. Turnbull was stood down following the incident on December 26.

The Queensland Police Service is yet to decide if her suspension will be lifted following her guilty plea.
