Police are investigating a dramatic two-car smash which was captured on dashcam outside a major Queensland shopping centre on Tuesday morning.

It appears as though the driver of a silver sedan had not noticed the lights change from orange to red, continuing to drive at normal speed through a red traffic light.

While one driver was able to see the car and stop before a collision, the driver in the lane next to them wasn't so lucky - t-boning the silver sedan.

Queensland Police have confirmed to ninemsn that none of those involved in the accident are being treated for life-threatening injuries.

"A 53-year-old Nerang woman and driver of the sedan was treated for minor injuries. Her 33-year-old male passenger was uninjured," a Queensland Police Service spokesperson told ninemsn.

"A 34-year-old Morayfield woman and sole occupant of the hatchback was taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries."

Police investigations are ongoing.
