Don't give up on expired gift cards, NSW goverment says

Shoppers in New South Wales have been urged to try and redeem expired gift cards as part of a state government initiative.

NSW Regulation Minister Victor Dominello has asked shoppers to make a "special effort" to try to use expired gift cards in stores as part of Fair Trade week.

Shoppers are asked to then log their experience on the Fair Trading website.

Results will be used to make a decision on changing regulations to better protect forgetful card owners.
