Dog sent a cheque after testicles removed
A Darwin dog has been mailed a cheque in its own name from the local council for having its testicles removed.
Darwin Council has been reimbursing locals who have their pets desexed, but one cheque was mistakenly made out to a neutered Great Dane instead, the Northern Territory News reports.

Having such a humanlike name did not make things easy for Bruce Wallder.
But things weren't so simple for his owner Tom, who was not allowed to cash the cheque because he did not have any identification for the dog.
"I said to my wife, 'that's funny, the dog is getting mail now'," Mr Wallder said.
"I don't know what Bruce is going to spend it on ... probably some new balls."
Darwin Council has promised to re-issue the cheque, this time addressed to a human.
