Owner of killer dog 'gave fake details' as family mourned
A heartbroken girl is pleading for the man whose dog fatally attacked her beloved pet to come forward.
Laura, 12, was walking with her mum along the coast in Ocean Reef in northern Perth on Saturday.
They said they had encountered a man complaining about how he was not able to take his two dogs on the beach when one of his animals attacked.

Laura's seven-year-old dog Indy was bitten and the other animal refused to let go.
Laura tried desperately to save Indy, but said she was also attacked.
"It started hurting and I looked down, and it all started bleeding on my shoes," Laura said.
The owner of the attacking dog gave his name and number to a witness, and was last seen leaving a carpark near the Ocean Reef Sea Sports Club.

But the details the man gave were fake, and the family has been unable to track him down.
The attacking dog is described as a large mastiff or tosa, with its owner believed to be aged in his 60s.
He was wearing long shorts and a polo shirt, and driving a small white sedan.
