AFL apologises after Brownlow Medal merchandise blunder

The AFL has apologised after merchandise celebrating Hawthorn's Sam Mitchell as the winner of last night's Brownlow Medal accidentally appeared online during the count.
An image of the framed and signed Hawthorn jumper, with the label "concept purposes only", was posted online yesterday.
Fremantle star Nat Fyfe was the eventual winner of the medal.
The jersey caption congratulated him on a stellar season "capped off by becoming only Hawthorn's fourth ever Brownlow medallist".
It was available for $1300 at the official online AFL store, which has since experienced technical issues.
AFL media relations manager Patrick Keane also tweeted an apology during the telecast.
Mr Keane said six memorabilia options had been mocked up ahead of the event and Mitchell's had been inadvertently published.
