Victorian premier pledges new hospital funding
9NEWS
Victorian premier Denis Napthine was today trying to bolster his health credentials with extra hospital funding in one of Melbourne's fastest-growing areas.
The premier today announced a $177 million expansion of the Monash Children's Hospital - including a new emergency department and critical care wing.
And the Coalition would put back the helipad it cut from the hospital's blueprints last year.

Later, on the steps of Parliament, Dr Napthine got to hear questions the public wants answered.
Pensioners, the public school system, public transport and a motorcycle safety levy were all on the agenda.
