Defence minister takes a swipe at Baird

Defence Minister Marise Payne has taken a swipe at the NSW premier after he expressed disappointment over the handling of an RAAF contamination scandal.

Mike Baird said he'd take the matter up with the prime minister and Senator Payne, after discussing the contamination at the Williamtown RAAF Base at a reference group meeting on Tuesday.

Senator Payne on Wednesday said she did not agree with the premier and was "quite disappointed" Defence was not invited to participate in the meeting.
