Defence facing more than 100 abuse claims

The Department of Defence is facing more than 100 compensation claims for sexual and physical abuse worth millions of dollars.

Shine Lawyers, acting for the majority of complainants, says claims range from $75,000 to more than $1 million, Fairfax Media reports on Wednesday.

Lawyer Adair Donaldson says he expects more complainants will come forward.
