Woman's dead body found in lake at Darebin Parklands in Alphington

A woman's body has been found in a lake among parklands in Melbourne's inner-north this morning.

Police were investigating after locating the dead body at Darebin Parklands in Alphington at 11.25am.

It is understood a passer-by saw the body floating in the water.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

"Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the death of a woman in Alphington," a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
